Wallace Dam Monday's coming up!

We have always had good luck over the years fishing for Carp at Wallace Dam dock in Sept & Oct. With that thought in mind and now that I only live 14 miles away I plan on hosting some "Wallace Dam Mondays" over the next couple of months. Carp angling has proven to be a wonderful tool for me to have fun and to make new friends. There is no obligation. I just hope that you will take time to come see us some Monday real soon! I'm not sure if this is allowed but I've gathered a few WD links from the past for your consideration. We plan on being there this coming Monday from around 8AM-1PM. Come see us and meet the Ultimate Carp Hound!!

I will be at work and thinking of the fun ya'll are having. My brother in law lives just a couple miles from there. He took me out in his boat this past spring and we caught a few bass up in there on a day when they weren't biting well at all. If ya'll every go out there on a weekend let me know and the wife and I will come visit. God bless and have fun!

Once we start catching a few I'd be glad to meet you there on a Saturday AM if you'd like.

Sounds good. I've never targeted carp, but a few times while catfishing with my son at Thundering Springs we get one. I'm usually fishing with worms, but he uses hot dogs. LOL It is about a 3 acre pond off the main lake and there aren't many carp in there. I don't think there are many catfish in there either these days.

We plan on being there Monday. I don't fish on Holidays. We will probably do Friday that week if at all. I can meet you there most Saturdays if you are interested but let's wait until we start catching a few.

Kirby: I'm either an idiot or retired. I didn't realize this coming Monday was Labor Day. We won't be there this Monday but may go another day next week.

Our next planned trip to the Wallace Dam Tailrace dock will be Monday Sept 12 unless we are Providentially hindered. Stay tuned and have a great Labor Day weekend coming up!!

Maximus Relaximus and the Ol Captain will be meeting a very famous player to be named later at the Wallace Dam Tailrace fishing dock in the Morning (Monday Sept 12.) This will be our second unofficial meeting of the "Wizards of Wallace" Carp Anglers group. We are hoping that others will drop by with a chair, a pole and a lunch and spend part of the day with us! And don't be 'fraid of a little rain 'cause we will have you covered!!!!(Stay tuned)

Good Lord willing, Max and I will be back on the Wallace Dam Tailrace Fishing dock tomorrow (Monday Sept 19) from around 8:30 AM-2:30 PM. Come join us if you can!

Also, I know a lot of you work but if anyone is interested in a Saturday AM there before too long just let me know!

I'm still planning to come see you one of these Mondays, Horace.

Meanwhile, this Saturday, 9/24, if anybody's interested, the CAG (Carp Anglers Group) GA Fall Fish-in will be held at Salacoa Creek Park, near Ranger, in Gordon County. Anyone interested in carp fishing is welcome. The only cost is the $3 daily fishing fee at the park, which helps with the park's maintenance expenses. If you're interested and want more info, PM me by mid week.

Any chance you'll be making the drive, Horace?

Max and I did more reflecting, studying and reading than we did catching this past Monday at the Wallace Dam Tailrace Dock.

As the water begins to cool again (based on past experience here) the fish will begin to move and eat to prepare for the dormant winter to come.

Good Lord willing we will be back on the dock this coming Monday (Sept26) from around 8:00 AM until 3-4 PM. If you are in the area why not bring a chair and a pole and come see us!!

We had to skip last week but we will be hoping to put some Gold on the mat tomorrow! I will have three rod’s out and I would sure love to share a “Proper Pull-Down” or two with you!

All you will need is a chair and your lunch. I’ll even put a dog in your lap to make you feel at home! Got questions? Call the Ol Captain’s Carp Hotline at 404-405-3523. Come see us if you can!

The temperature on the Wallace Dam dock is predicted to fluctuate between 49-84 degrees tomorrow (Monday Oct 24). Unless Providentially hindered the Ultimate Carp Hound (Maximus Relaximus) and the Ol Captain will be back in place with high hopes of another Proper Pull Down!

Knowing that many of you will also be putting in 8 hours tomorrow we are shooting for 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM ( give or take an hour.) If you are available why not bring a chair, a pole and a lunch and come see us tomorrow! Got Questions? Call the Ol Captain’s Carp Hotline at 404-405-3523.

If things go as planned the Ol Captain and Max will return to the Wallace Dam tailrace dock in the morning (Friday November 4.) We will fish from around 8-3 and as always we will be pursuing the Golden Ghosts!!
