Injured Doe That Just Will Not Give Up ....

This doe was hit by a car well over a year ago. Thought for sure she would have been taken out by me, another hunter, or at the very least some of these coyotes that we have around here.

She is still hanging in there.

No not that my trail cam has shown but I have replaced the memory cards and batteries yesterday so in a couple more weeks or so I will head back out there to see if she has been by lately and if so, with any fawns.

Only reason I am fairly certain she is still alive is that after hunting season, around February or March I saw her limping through my back yard. I was surprised she made it through hunting season.

I watched a buck last fall/winter that had a broken (swinging) front leg, it took 3 months but it healed and he's growing now. Also have a doe that has what appears to be a dislocated rear leg, she gets around OK and is pregnant and appears healthy. They are TOUGH!
