Backyard Plot

I am turning over new ground getting it ready to plant my first backyard plot this fall. I am thinking of doing Biologics sugar beets winter bulbs and radishes. Has anyone had good success using less than one acre of these in backyard plots? Anything else I could do that would be beneficial and get through the first couple of frost?

You cant go wrong adding grasses to your other suggested plantings. Wheat and Oats are good. These will stay green through the winter and provide crucial late season forage. Be careful not to plant too early. Generally late Sept. or early October works out.

I assume you have already done soil testing and have a plan on that.
