Just curious if anyone was doing any good at the Jekyll pier latley. I know we used to catch a lot of whiting this time of year but that was a few years ago. Thanks for any info.

Flounder, whiting, redfish, trout, croaker and crabs are being caught, lately, according to the people in the bait shop.
I know the redfish are biting, my wife and I have caught 24 over the last week from the beach by the pier.
We watched a man catch several flounder in front of the bait shop standing on the rocks at the waters edge.
We gave half a 5 gal bucket of crabs we caught seining at St. Andrews to a man who already had half a bucket he caught off the pier.
So, things are picking up a bit and should get better as the water cools down.

I fished from around 530 til dark this evening and caught a few small croaker and 2 toad fish on shrimp. Out going tide. Gonna try using cut croaker on the incoming tide tomorrow morning and see what happens.
