Caught a few more...

Gentlemen,
Water was beautiful on Saturday. Super clear and calm in the morning lead to great redfish conditions. Unfortunately, the first hookup blew the school out. Still ended up hooking 5 and landing 4. Had to lock the drag on a fish over shell and paid the price. The boat side blow up was awesome.

The trout bite has slowed for us the last couple of trips. Still managed 42 fish, but we had to hunt them. Never found the right spot.

Very nice! I like the little spin-jig you are using. I have gotten the trout thing down pretty well in the two moths we have lived down here on the coast, but except for the bulls we have been having poor luck with reds - though I keep imagining they would be in very similar water as the trout. We have mostly used live shrinp and DOAs under popping corks. Do you think it would be more productive for us to switch to baits like that? Oh, and thanks for including a little structure in your photos - it actually helps me as a new-comer know what kind of landscape I need to be looking for.

Truthfully, it's hard to beat live bait. Reds love shrimp. If you can find live shell at low tide, the reds should be there. I really like those custom flashy jigs. Check out Bert's Jigs and Things fb page. I also like the larger strike king redfish magic spinnerbaits. Both of these allow you to cover water.
