Fish pictures over the last few years.

I've only posted pictures of my biggest one on here before, but I was reading another thread about things being slow on here now. Folks were saying they enjoy seeing them and reading the stories so I thought I'd try to contribute. I'm not putting them on here to brag and I honestly don't think I'm a great fisherman....I just know that we've been blessed with a very good place to fish and we've went a lot the last couple years. Hope ya'll enjoy looking at them a fraction of the enjoyment we got catching them.

Thank you. Again, we are blessed with a great friend with an awesome private lake to fish. It is well over 70 acres full, but has been about half that since 2010. It should be full again in a few months. We can't wait for that. The grass has almost overtaken the place and the shallow water is so hot it feels like bath water. Much hotter than any other pond we've tried this year.

The crappie were all caught while bass fishing.....I've never even been crappie fishing and every one I've ever caught was from there. Oddly we didn't catch a single bass that day.

Most of these fish were caught on white Zoom super fluke Jr.'s on weedless hooks with a few off top water lures. I'm pretty sure all of them were on Zebcos too. Anything from 202's to 733's and the newer 33 max reels and most were on 20# mono. We've since started using baitcasters and 50# braid to try and stop loosing so many lures. You can't make 2 casts with a rattle trap out there.

From reading around on here over the last couple months it appears that what I've always called a warmouth isn't, but is actually a green sunfish. Or at least the one I took a picture of is. Wonder if the others I've caught over the years were all green sunfish too, or if some of them were indeed warmouth?

Whatever you call them, they are pretty....fun to catch...and taste great.

I actually believe the pic in the grass is in fact a warmouth.

Good eye. That is an old 348 truck block. I finally found a 409 a few years back (that I could afford) after wanting one since I was 15. Hopefully I will finish the build on it before spring.
