I can post a thread in the introduction forum and I can post here. Why can I not post a thread under new post?

I'm not sure i follow you, David. Are you trying to start a thread from the "New Posts" hyperlink on the tool bar? If so, that won't work. To start a thread you have to go to the forum you want( Campfire, Sports, etc...) and click on "New Thread" at the top left of the particular forum. HTH, Robert
