Tagged out in SC and 2 in GA...the gobbler dirt nap season is over! I'm still fighting depression, but it was a great season and it ended on a good note with 3 gobblers in 5 days (I also missed 1 gobbler). I also called in and witnessed a friend shooting his first bird (that was a first for me). So, my Versamax tallied 4 birds and my 870 tallied 2.
The only thing that could have made it better would have been getting my grandpa his first bird. The Turkey Mecca in Georgia should be covered up with birds next season with all the gobblers we left alive and considering I saw more Jakes this year than ever before. So, hopefully we can get it done then! Till next season...
Lastly, I'm going to get back into the turkey challenge/killing contest next year.
