My best friend did it to a Colt 1911 of his. It's a bad, nasty round. Nearly .44 mag energy. I like it. Shoots good, too.

I used a Clark conversion with comp on a Sig 1911. Excellent round and very accurate

How much fitting did you have to do?

None. It was a perfect fit. If it needs any fitting you can send it to Clarks and they will fit it for you with no charge except shipping.

I went through Brownell's since I get a discount and it was $25 cheaper than getting it direct from Clark

My brother put one in his Colt 1991A1 probably 15 years ago. He loves it. The barrel comes with a muzzle brake on it and a stiffer recoil spring. Has always worked flawlessly. Georgia Arms loads ammo for it if you don't roll your own.
