First mahi, biggest sea bass, lots of smiles

The fishing has been a blast here lately. Limits of seabass, a random dolphin at the banks, a few nice flounder and that awesome juvenile red grouper. Squid and jig with a grub tail is what has been working for me. I haven't been inshore lately so I have nothing to report there. I plan on poking around this week for some trout. I hope everyone has been enjoying this bite. Almost time to switch gears.....

Merry Christmas everyone. :flag:

I've heard this from every white collar fisherman in Savannah lol. I'm sure they are fun. I like catching any fish there is. I will always prefer Kings, well because there is something about them that draws every redneck, country boy type I have come across. If the sponsors come through with the fuel bladder, I will be out during the dolphin run this spring. Merry Christmas

Forecast isn't looking good brother. I hope it lays for you. I'm glad you like the posts. I share all the information I can. I want all of us to catch fish! Especially my hard working men and women who don't have a whole lot of free time. Anything I can ever do to help, please ask. If it's something I can't/won't do, I'll let you know. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

White collar. :bounce:

My neck is as red as it gets.

I fish hard. Never off shore near Savannah. (yet)

Miami/Homestead/Keys is where I roll.
Good bit in the Gulf as well.

You want to drag that thing south a little?
Hit me up.

I did see a dood' almost "lip" a king one time
near Dry Tortugas. (already had a gaff in him)
Me and my buds cautioned him against that..
After the fish bat smack.. We let him play with it.
He broke the pot. 53# monster. (I lost 10$)

BTW.. Kings are one of my favorite eating fish!

It's a rich man's game here. Have to ride seventy plus miles one way for mahi. It's a bit much for me and there isn't a big market for charters that run two thousand plus dollars. I like to keep it to the reefs. Give folks a good expirince, don't break their bank and can push the weather limits when I'm inside thirty miles.

I appreciate the offer. I will be south this summer to film a snook episode but the boat will stay in Savannah. Using a team mates boat for that. I'm not sure what else we have planned while we are there.
