You can easily build what they are selling from pvc for a lot less $$$,lot of great DIY videos on you tube for kayak rigging.Honestly I haven't found the need to add a lot of aftermarket gadgets to my kayak,I've added a anchor trolley to mine that I made myself.

If you want to flare the PVC pipe, just use a heat gun (check out Harbor Freight) and use a beer bottle to flare the opening. Just don't get it too hot.
