Ive got a pretty good go at some clover established last fall. When is the best time to spray it for grass and weeds? Any favorite mix or just use the cheapest?

Mowing will help. What to spray will depend on whether you are trying to kill grass or broad leafs. Post will do good for the grass issues.

2,4d-b Butyrac 200 http://www.cdms.net/ldat/ld4JG000.pdf for broad leaf weeds.
Spray when the temps get warmer, preferably earlier in the day.
You can also use a weed wiper with a mix of 50/50 of glyphosate and water, just skimming over top of the clover. It's not perfect but does a pretty good job.
