Poweraid is antifreeze?

Just grabbed a poweraid I left on a table outside two days ago.
It is currently ~27 degrees and has been below freezing for a while now.

Drink is not frozen. But it's cold as can be going down the throat

Bottled water must be antifreeze too.

I grabbed a bottle of water out of the truck one day last week when the temps had been way below freezing for several days. It was still liquid, so I slammed it on the bumper and it instantly turned to ice.

The first time I ever saw this was like you, I picked up a Gatorade that should have been frozen solid. I brought it in and opened it and stuck a stream thermometer in it to see how cold it was. As soon as the thermometer touched it, it started to freeze and I watched the ice go from top to bottom in about a second. It's pretty cool if you've never seen it.

TNT, it is called a colligative property. When any substance is dissolved in water it raises the boiling point and lowers the freezing point, so yes is sort of like antifreeze. It is just that antifreeze does it better than most substances.

Well then.
I have learned new things today

Might explain why the bottled water in the fridge can go from water to ice in what seems like no time from one visit to the next
