Short Version: Bears 1, Me 0 sightings after 10 miles hard hiking per GPS.

Long Version:
daybreak headed to a white oak spot at 3200', lots of acorns on the ground, no fresh combing, nor scar. Moved higher to 3400', a second grove and found some climb marks, no fresh scat, not many acorns on ground.

Decided to reposition for afternoon so went to second honeyhole from last year. This is also >3400', a nice saddle, white oaks on adjacent ridge line. Towards far end I finally found some climbing, small limbs broken off, couple fresh medium size scat piles, some older piles, about 9 different bee nests dug including one still with bees on ground, , so camped out for next five hours, no bears seen. did see some squirrels which seemed more in number than last year.

Hope y'all had a more productive day. How'd it go on your side of the mountain?
