Ocean 4 day kayak trip help needed

I am taking some scouts kayaking down from tybee island to a few islands for 4 days trip starting Thursday the 28th. Will this hurricane off the coast effect the tide/currents or waves of this trip? Will it still be safe to go? I have done this trip several times but not with a hurricane off shore. What should I expect? Please any help would be great. I don't want to cancel the trip but I don't want to put these boys life in danger.

I think I would skip it. All reports I have seen are sea's up to 9 ft. It seems way too risky, especially with kids.

X2 abnormal high tides and rip currents ... probably not a good idea!

These things are just too unpredictable to plan around when they're still off coast. I wouldn't want to chance it with my own and especially not someone else's kids.

Instead of cancelling, I'd make a plan to go somewhere else instead. Maybe a nice river trip? The Ocmulgee and Oconee should be decent during then. The Chattahoochee and Flint should be even better being farther inland.
