I am assuming this is at some museum, its a shame at all the points stuffed in drawers that no one will ever get to see.

Wow!! In my life, I have only seen and got to hold 4 real fluted clovis points that came from off the Savannah River, them people had a whole drawer full.....wouldnt you like to stumble on a site like that! Wait, there is a site like that right behind my office, good old Stallings Island, right out side my office door and it just teases me every day, just once I would like to "look" on it......

I hope I find a drawer full in Ohio this fall.

I'm sure the donating finders never wanted their jewels hidden away from the public eye like seems to be what happens to most donations.

It amazes me that before any modern transportation systems that Obsidian was able to make it this far east in rock form and be made in to tools. Would love to know the story of how those rocks covered so much distance. Great stuff

Imagine how big those pieces of Obsidian were before they were made into those large blades. They had to be huge! I bet them injins had some bad backs. :bounce:
