High Falls Lake

Can anyone provide any info for High Falls Lake. Some buddies and I are going on Friday for Largemouth. Which boat ramps do most people use? I see that the park does not open until 7:00, but we wanted to get on the water at daylight. Any info would be appreciated.

There are only 2 boat ramps. At the park office and Buck Creek. Electronic Gates open at 7 at office. No electronic gate at 'Buck Creek. They do not allow anyone on the water until 7:00 AM. Signs posted at ramps. They will write you a ticket if caught, and they do so regularly. Not worth it. Great Bass lake!

Is Buck Creek a free ramp? The state park ramp is $5 I'm sure.

Also, does that apply to kayaks too for 7am? Or just motorized crafts?

It's been a while but I believe Buck Creek is part of the State Park as well and has a $5 fee. That being the case I'm guessing the 7am applies to all users.

That 7am open time is a bit ridiculous in my opinion... Should be sunrise at the latest. IMHO.

High falls

Buck Creek ramp is part of the State park also and is $5 day parking fee . I've had to wait until almost eight before someone opened the gate .
I believe it's 7am on the water for everybody . Kirby
