Freshwater in one of the BIG lakes (pic heavy)

I had the opportunity to head up north for a week of meetings at home office, with Cannon Pros and participate/observe in a couple of salmon/trout tournaments. It is really interesting to see how other hardcore fishermen work and employ technology and fishing equipment in other waters. These guys are some of the best of the best around Lake Michigan. I fished with 2 different Prostaff teams and both were well oiled machines to say the least. Both were running Cannon and Humminbird with LakeMaster. The Viking is running Cannon but not Humminbird on this boat..yet. The last picture is Johnson Outdoors HQ in Racine taken from the marina.

If you find yourself heading up to either side of Lake Michigan let me know and I can hook you up with some solid Captains. Enjoy!

Very interesting

I don't think they have enough rods on that boat! LOL

Nice outing right there!

It was a very informative trip in many ways. The use of downriggers, copper line, leadcore, planner boards and divers was most interesting. They have so many rods because they are grouped with certain stuff that is employed at one time to target different species at same time. For example, the brown trout would only hit spoons and flies on leadcore...the copper was way too stiff and this made the action not good. The low divers and high divers would undoubtedly work for stripers.

Looks like those Lake Trout have bounced back in a big way! You got yourself a nice Chin' there too, and there's a good Rainbow floating around in the box.

I love fishing up there.

DANG……that looks like an awesome adventure. I’m like you Bill….I like to see other parts of the country where folks are “ate up” with fishing too. They may not bass-fish but the love of fishing is deep rooted……….and I can connect with that. Even if we talk different!!

Thanks for sharing man……those pics are awesome!!!
