Made a walk around to check out where a deer might get too close to me in a few weeks. Some persimmons are being eaten now. The one picture of a red maple with the scar on the limb is a tree I've killed 4 deer 2 hogs and a bunch of dillos and have seen a bobcat, coon, and possum out of it. There's a bunch of persimmon trees in this spot, over 10. The mud hole looks promising too. Got to get back down there to pre drill some trees.

That tree looks pretty loaded, usually when I find one in the woods there may be 10 to 15 persimmons hanging on for deer life. Looks like two pretty good spots there.

how can the deer eat those persimmons before they are ripe? Then again they eat greenbriers thorns-and-all too, so I wouldn't put anything past them.
