Moss vs Rem

Have both. Prefer the 870.
Once I had a Mossberg 835. Worst kicking gun I've ever owned. Tried to sell it on here and couldn't get 250 bucks for it. I eventually traded it for a Franchi AL 48 20 gauge that I love

I have an Moss 835 and Rem 20 ga 870 youth version that has been modified to a PD gun. If I were deciding today which to buy, I sure would not buy a gun from a company in bankruptcy...therefore the Mossy gets my vote.

I've had them both. Still have 2 Mossberg 500's (12 ga and 410) and my son has an 835. I just like them better than the Remingtons. That said, I much prefer my Winchester 120 20 ga. over any of them.

The Oracle
Decades of constant use with no problems says quality to me. I shoot better with the Mossberg than the Remmy, too. The only complaint I have with mine is that it kicks like a mule.

I have both as well.
Have had a few more of each over the years.

Right now:
(2) 12's
(2) 20's
(1) .410.

I would give a slight edge to the Remington,
especially the Wing Master
(nothing wrong with Express either)

If I had a magic wand, my pump-gun(s) would
be an 870 with the safety moved to where
it is on Mossberg.

IMO. That's where the safety SHOULD be on ALL
long arms. I know it's not really possible but would be nice.

Just Sayin'.:D

Agreed on the safety. And I put the Wingmaster in a whole different class from the 870 express and 500, at least the old ones.
