Had the day off today.....so I went in and got a quick 8hrs of OT....hit the grocery store on the way home and picked up a yardbird on sale.

What's everyone grilling/cooking/rolling with on this super afternoon ????

Home....chilled for a bit and then fired up Ole Red to cook the shicken.

Krunk some tunes in the kitchen and on the deck.

Dusted down the cut up shicken with these two rubs....

Gonna let the rubs set for a while in the fridge while she comes up to cruising temp and I enjoy a Red Stripe or two......

Lookin' good, Dub!

I'm in the process of baking some brioche buns right now. If they turn out good, they will probably be the base of some blackened chicken sammiches.

I hate these threads. You know what I'm having for supper? When I get home sometime after 9, I'll tiptoe into the kitchen so I don't wake the kids and probably slice a little cheddar and eat it on some Ritz crackers. If there's any crackers left...

Brioche buns.......I hear ya !!!

Dude, you have mad skillz on all things cooking/grilling/frying/baking.

Looking forward to seeing how these develop.

2 ears of corn & 16 oz. NYstrip steak on the BGE.

Sounds like a great meal in the making !!!!

You may wanna make a pitstop on the way home if you think those crackers will last. Ritz & Wheat Thins don't last long 'round here.

The bird came out purty decent.....

Wife wanted a thigh......

Kicker wang drummettes came off soon after.....

Man that’s some fine looking yard bird. I split a chicken in half and am waiting for the joe to warm up so I can put em on the fire.

Sounds like a solid plan.

Almost as good as the first time around.
