New fly combo: TFO LK Pro 7'6" 3wt 4pc, Orvis BBS II

I just picked up a new fly combo. Used, but supposedly never used and looks like it too.

TFO Lefty Kreh Professional Series 7'6" 4pc 3WT
Orvis Battenkill BBSII

Cases for both as well.

I've been wanting a 3wt for Bluegill and Trout. Should work well? Good quality?

I have a setup question guys: the reel is currently set up for RH retrieve. I want it to be LH. Do I have to unwind the whole spool and re-wind it LH?

Also, are you guys using the reel or drag on a 3wt or just pulling in line by hand? What's the point then of the drag and how should I set it?
