Thanks for sharing. I enjoy seeing this stuff unearthed. Them injuns must have had exceptional balance, at 33' long and only 2' wide I'd spend more time in the water then the canoe.
 
You might be very surprised at how stable they are. When first put in after being made, they are tipsy. But after being in the water awhile and soaking up some water they are very stable.

Never thought about that, makes perfect sense. Never new they made them that long, that had to be a lot of work carving/burning that out
