Turkeys and peacocks

I'm surprised there are that many running around "wild". The only ones I've ever seen are in peoples yards. I guess it makes since they wonder. I wonder how many of those yall are seeing have peahens and are breeding.
Another thought, are peafowl close enough to turkeys to crossbreed? Wouldn't a turkey with a colorful tail be cool to see?

Have seen and heard peacocks and gobblers together for years on a certain property I hunt. If you hear the peacocks, I promise you there are gobblers close by. Craziest thing I have every seen.
