I run all my cams, 12 of them, on 3mp and the day and night pics are great and look just about as good as the highest settings, but I am not making calenders or posters and do not need hi-res trail cam pics, I just want to see what's out there and down loading 3mp pics is so much faster and easier then using a higher resolution setting.
