ID these mushrooms

I would say no to the edible question.
They look similar to the Chanterelle but aren't independent growers. With them growing in a clump like that I'd call them the Jack o lantern Mushroom.
The Chanterelle is edible, the Jack o lantern is toxic to humans. The Jack o lantern can also glow at night. Never seen it personally, but heard about it.

Buy an Audubon Field Guide to Mushrooms. ID them and still don't eat them. You need to spend time with someone who is an epert. Mushrooms only give you ONE chance to be wrong.

Also like said above Jacks are bioluminescent. So put some in a jar and look at them in a dark room and see if they have a faint glow. I have seen them glowing in the woods.
