Out with a youngster today - Justin - great kid! I heard "yes sir" so much I started looking around to make sure he was talking to me 
Morning started off hot....but instead of just starting to fish somewhere - I went back to my summer system and we cruised and looked around some deeper brush.
About the 4th place, I saw some fish and we saw some "life" near the surface around it. A few minutes later, they were on top all around the boat. Justin was ready to go and boated 3 good ones quick...Ol' Jim was still tying up and netting fish
We searched hard today utilizing the Humminbird's and the tablet...again, I was in summer locations mode. We boated fish a several other places doing the same thing. Around 10am, the bite slowed. I told Justin, "We're going to some new water"...pulled up on the first place on the opposite side of the lake and sure enough, Justin boats another solid fish and a Striper freight trains me. We even had a audience on these fish. I met up with Chuck and his partner so he could discuss and see my sonar WiFi system at work.
Moved on...sun got up some and the bite slowed. I told Justin - "I've resisted all morning, but now its time". Ran to some brush piles - moving baits over the top the eased in to drop shot. Started sticking them on the DS with the new colors....Melon Candy and Blue Lily. Pulled up another spot and threw the Sebile over it and I thought I hooked a boat...about a 4' Gar nailed it. I let Justin get the hooks out Eased in and another drop shot fish comes to boat.
Around 1pm...bite just died...so we called it a day around 2:30. Ended up with 12-13 - plus a Striper and Gar. Justin had the hot hand for some solid spots...I was the Striper and Gar guy today.
Great to meet Justin - great young fisherman - fun time for sure. The last picture - someone in ninja mode snuck up on me. LJ
