I am wanting to build a AR 10 (PSA lower) and was wondering if the internals/parts were comparable like AR15 parts ? I heard somewhere before that they were manufacturer specific.

No, AR-10 parts are not all interchangeable as there is no "spec" for 308's like there is for the M4/M16 rifles.
PSA I believe is compatible with DPMS receivers (I may be wrong on that) but definitely will not work with MEGA, KAC, Armalite, or LMT receivers.
Most receiver sets will specify what they are compatible with.

Thanks for the info. That out of battery link has some good info. I was looking at 338 Federal for the caliber just because I don't have one .

An AR 10 is pretty much an Armalite proprietary design.
The SR25 platform seems to be the most widely used
and seems to be the best supported .308 AR platform as far as aftermarket.
