You guys know who you are-some of you know LOTS. Me?, not so much. Just getting into looking for artifacts. Few of my recent finds. Two quartz points. The orange one used as a blade or scraper? What is it made of? Pic isn't great. Thanks!

Nice finds! Hard to tell from the pic, but I'd say the orange one is either a side scraper or an unfinished preform.

Bob Patton's research showed that a lot of preforms were often used heavily as general tools before they were eventually finished into points.

They seem crude. Can I assume archaic period? The thrill for me is knowing that an ancient native person was the last to touch the point before me. I feel honored.
