This fella started hammering ~350 yards away at daylight, just like it was opening week. I closed the distance to him. Few yelps and a cluck or two and He was on top of my decoy in minutes after fly down. There he was Drumming and strutting! Couldn't believe my eyes!
I Killed two opening week and then nothing til I tagged out on the last morning! This season wore me out and I loved every minute of it. This is my best public land bird yet with 10 inch beard 1 and 1/8 inch spurs.
It just doesn't get better than this. I appreciate everyone's input and advice along this season. Best of luck til next year y'all!
