A buddy and I made our annual trip to WI for spring gobbler and we hit it just right. Weather was good and the birds were very active. We each were able to fill two tags a piece.
My season "C" gobbler.
Sorry for the sideways pics. I have No idea why they are showing up that way.

We had hunted these two gobblers for 6 days until we finally were able to catch them on a day that they were willing to come within range. It was our last day of the hunt so we after splitting up all week we decided to sit shoulder to shoulder in an all or nothing last attempt.
We doubled in season "D" on two more gobblers.

The best part of our double was the spurs these guys were packing.
Mine had a 1-3/4" spur on each leg.
Todd's had a 1.5" spur and a 1-3/16" spur.

Many thanks guys. I never thought I'd be fortunate enough to get an eastern with hooks like that.
