Years ago Thompson Center made sabots that were 3 piece design, two halves that surrounded the bullet, and a felt piece that was soaked in their bore butter that slipped over a small protusion on the bottom of the sabot s and held them together. I liked them because of the felt pad being soaked in the bore butter, made for easy loading and kept the plastic sabots from being burned during the shot.
I can no longer find them anywhere ? Anyone know why they quit making them? or if anyone makes something similar ?
