Anyone know how the river is? From 16 bridge down to 83

Ocmulgee from hwy 16 to hwy 83
There are intermittent class 1-2 rapids from hwy 16 down to Lamar Shoals, where the gradient increases. Most will want to take the more open right channel which stays more clear of trees. Lamar Shoals can be partly drag-portaged along the right bank. The river narrows again, and the last rapids of note are at Wise Creek, where there is a USFS boat access.
After Wise Creek, it is about 5 miles to hwy 83. There are only teensy rapids. At some water levels you could paddle up from hwy 83 to Wise Creek to fish.
