Duties of a Manufacturing Manager
Provides leadership and direction to the manufacturing team
Oversees areas of manufacturing team, such as safety, planning, cost, efficiency, quality, and customer service
Manages the manufacturing scheduling process to meet the customer’s expectation and demand
Optimizes use of plant resources to complete tasks assigned
Maintain compliance of company policies, safety standards, quality specifications, regulatory requirements, and sanitation practices
Monitor plant performance and manufacturing, quality, and sanitation costs
Coordinate maintenance schedule and assign repair tasks as needed
Develop/Implement action plans to understand and address areas of concern
Common skills desired in a Manufacturing Manager
Ability to lead and develop teams
Results driven with accuracy and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Can work and participate effectively in a team environment
Safety conscious and able to apply methodologies to improve processes
