I'm in Miller and Early, SW Ga. Have seen one that's shed. The rest are still holding on. Usually begin to drop big time around second week of March in these parts.
After pulling the cards from my cameras yesterday afternoon, I only had ONE buck on camera that had shed his antlers so far. He is just a young whipper-snapper.
I actually spent 3 1/2 hours pulling the cards and looking for sheds in my pasture and surrounding areas but didn't find a single one.
Since I hadn't been back in the woods for the past month, I did have 6,466 photos that included lots of photos of does, bucks, coyotes (that look just like wolves), several bobcats, squirrels, doves, rabbits, and raccoons, only one hawk and even a few ducks. It was very odd NOT to see any turkeys or possums during this past month. (However, I did see over a dozen possums that had been run over and killed along the 35 mile drive to my property.)
This is the photo of the lone buck with already shed antlers.
