Forum Admins - Pop-ups from the site

FYI....

I’ve noticed that over the last several days I’ve received an Amazon pop up message telling me that I’ve won something.

This is the only site that that’s happening on. I’ve cleaned my history and cookies and still get the message at least once when I log on to the forum.

What device and browser are y'all using?

On my desktop, I am using Opera web browser with it's built-in ad-blocking feature, and it works very well. No pop-ups for me anywhere, including here.

If you are on a desktop or laptop pc, you may also use either one of the ad-blockers linked below, and both work well. I've used both in the past, but do not need to now with Opera's built-in ad-blocker.

If you're on an Apple device, try Norton Ad Blocker. I am using Safari browser and Norton Ad Blocker on my iPad Pro. I have not been getting any pop-ups here or anywhere else.

If you are using an Android device, either try another browser or ad-blocker.

You may also try turning off JavaScript within your browser, but doing so may cause issues on other sites you visit. That's why I'd recommend an ad-blocker.

I couldn’t open more than 2 threads on my iPhone without the amazon ad popping up. What is so aggravating, you can’t close the ad, without closing Gon. I was also getting the ad on the weather underground site.

Downloaded the free “ad blocker”app in the App Store a couple days ago and so far, so good.

I downloaded it this morning and have not had any more anymore issues. Thanks!

I’ve downloaded two adblockers and I still keep getting them. Very frustrating

Make sure that they are enabled. Sometimes you have to enable them after installation. If that's not your problem, try another browser, I'd recommend Opera and it's built-in ad blocking feature, which you may have to enable it as well after installation.
