hey guys i installed a hummnbird 560 on my boat. when
i get my 25 hp to full throttle it reads 1 1/2 ft and i know i am a lot deeper than that, when i pull it back to about a 1/4 or 1/3 throttle it starts reading correct. my transducer is not quite flush with bottom of boat. is this normal or do i need to raise my transducer flush with boat. any info will be apreciated.

No it is not normal. You are losing contact due to bubbles. You may need to move the transducer to the left or right. A strake or rivet can cause cavitation bubbles and the sonar cannot read thru air.

Another possibility is the transducer could be tilted too much when you get up to speed. You want the transducer to be parallel to the surface of the water for the most accurate bottom reading.

The transducer should be just below the bottom of the boat. Refer to the transducer mounting instructions, either in your users guide or on the hummnbird web site.
