Its on my bucket list but I havent yet. There is a couple of cool steelhead threads with some incredible pics from this past couple of weeks over on NGTO

I've fished them in Michigan a few times. Grand River, Muskegon River, Manistee River. Good times, fun to catch.

I used to fish Great Lakes fish a bunch when I lived at home. Now, it's just around the holidays. I've fished most of the big name rivers in Michigan (both peninsulas) and Ohio and a bunch of smaller unmentionables...

The only fish that can hold a candle to steelies are Atlantic salmon.

This is an excellent forum for information on steelhead in Washington State. You have to be a bit nuts to fish the main runs there, though. We're talking wet and cold for the main runs which happen in the winter months.
