Has anyone used these climbers ? Does the seat sag in the middle when sat on or is it flat and ridged ? Does it grip a tree well ?
I was thinking about buying a few to leave in the woods. If it walked off I wouldn't be out much. Don't want to kill myself with junk though ? :bounce:

The seats adjust they feel good. Squirrels have chewed on mine a little. Had one out for a year.

Can't tell. I think both are much the same. The cheaper will work. I've climbed hard wood & pine. Got mine from dicks for 99
It's still out there.

The seat dose give in the middle. I may have both.
I seat on the rail to climb facing the tree. The bar on the front is adjustable on mine.

One of them folds flat to pack in and out. I just carry it in with out doing that.

It's easy to climb & can sit a long time. Mine don't squeak when I move.

That looks like one of mine. It has the wing nut to undo on the foot piece to collapse it flat. Same as the seat. Folds flat to carry easy.

Now I need to get a X bow. :)

I'm leaning toward this one. Just don't know if the floor will creak ?
I've got 3 climbers and 2 lockons. Problem is, I have 5 properties and I'm getting tired of carrying a climber in. A couple more would be nice. :bounce:

I saw one of your videos where it looked like you were carrying a 100lb ruck sack on your back. I would have smelled like a dirty sock by time I got to my hunting spot lol. I usually leave my climbers on the tree unless I plan on trying out a new spot. But I guess you may get some unwanted foot traffic in your neck of the woods.

I had one like the first link. It was the strong built Comanche.
It wasn't as comfortable as my Summit or API, but it was a solid stand. The older it gets the more it has started squeaking. I killed several out of it, including my biggest buck. For $70, it's hard to beat.

Let us know how you like your new stands.

Where did it squeak, floor grait ? The Ameristep is built similar but I can probably fix that or the bolted joints ?
