Too much rain? Throw & mow

I've prepped a couple of plots to convert over to the thrown and mow method. All of the current growth is dead and waiting to be planted and mowed. My plan was for this weekend. Spread fert and seed and then mow it. But with predictions for 2-3 inches or rain over a couple of days next week will it wash my seed & fert away?

I wouldn't think so with the mowed grass on top of the seed and fertilizer. I'm thinking of doing the same thing this year.

That is what you really need if you are doing a throw n mow. Rain is very important.

Now looks like 1-2" of rain around my plots.

So what do you think now with 4-6 inches of rain? We had everything together and ready to plant today but decided not to with that much rain and the the thought of it washing away. What do you guys think?

Hard to say with that much wind and rain and how quickly you'd get it.

I hedged my bets and planted my all of my till plots and 1/2 of my no till plots. Looks like we got about 3" total. I'll see here in a couple of weeks how it went.
