Kroger next to my house has baby backs ribs for 2.99 a lb with kroger card.

Bought some at Ingles yesterday for $2.89/lb. Think I'll grab a few more slabs this afternoon and throw 'em in the freezer. I haven't seen $1.99 babybacks for years. The last time I did, I bought all they had, wound up with about 15 racks.

2.89 is not bad. I paid 3.49 lb at Walmart. I bought butts for 99 cents lb a couple of months ago at Food Depot .

Its bull why the price stays so high. I'm in Iowa & even with all the hogs in the state we still pay $3.99

I've stopped cooking ribs for that reason.
Used to be, SAM'S had a three rack pack for, oh, $23-$25. Now, that same pack is more like $43.
Nope. Not for essentially fat and bone, even as much as I love to eat them.
I can cook fillet with all the fixin's for four people for less than I can cook ribs these days.
Just like tri-tip, flank steak, hanger steak, etc., the formerly cheap cuts are all the fad now and the price has shot up.
I honestly don't grill much meat anymore, I'm just not paying what they want.
