so, am I understanding this correctly? there is no either sex days during archery season?

Sounds like you have not yet looked at the hunting regulations guide posted at the web links above.

From Page 20 explaining archery season regulations, here's some helpful details for you:

Deer Hunting Seasons & Regulations

Archery Season

Either Sex

• Statewide: Sept. 14–Oct. 11

Archery hunting is allowed during firearms deer seasons and deer of either sex may be taken except as otherwise specified on WMAs.

Firearms Season

See pages 24 and 25 for firearms deer season, dog deer seasons and either-sex dates.

thanks guys, pooter wouldn't load the regs.

It's a large PDF file just under 18 MB so it will take a while to download or display over slower web connections, but it's smaller than last year's PDF file was just under 28 MB.

The pdf isn't formatted all that well, but basically unless you're in one of 9 counties (Hancock, Meriwether, Troup, Dooly, Harris, Macon, Montgomery, Randolph, Talbot), no does from Dec 1 to Dec 25. Far northern counties are more restrictive as usual.

for those who remember back when the northern zone had a break where season closed from Dec 1 until after Christmas, that's basically what they've done for killing does, except for the far far northern counties.
