Textile Machine Operator (Peachtree City)

Position Title: Knitting Operator
Department: Knitting Department

Qualifications:
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to make decisions on pass/fail inspected product.
• Must be able to pay close attention to detail.
• Previous manufacturing/final inspection experience a plus.
• Must be able to work 3rd shift (10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.)

Job Responsibilities:
• Inspection of knit products from the machines to ensure 100% first quality.
• To assist the knitting technicians by creeling yarn, threading machines, logging of jobs and reporting.
• Filling out information on yarn ticket and the accuracy of that information.
• The logging of all product good, scrap and the appropriate codes accurately for reporting by management.
• Assist the other team on shift by helping when resources are needed.
• Completing all required documentation and the accuracy of that information.
• Keep floor/work area cleaned of strings, cardboard, tubs or anything not needed throughout shift.
• Support the implementation of 6S and lean manufacturing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Shift Lead.
