Does anyone know if it is possible to drill and tap the top of the slide of a SW99 40 cal for a weaver mount? I would like to put my burris fastfire on my pistol, but don't like the bulky bridge style mounts.

All the mounts I've seen for semi-autos mount to the frame. Wouldn't screwing it to the slide beat the %#@& out of the scope?

DO NOT drill and tap the slide for a scope. The rate at which the slide is blown back after each round will ruin that scope after 1 or 2 shots.
