Getting ready to head out in a few minutes to go rabbit hunting. My buddy has some jam up rabbit dogs and we are gonna go chase some buck rabbits. He has a swamp that he hunts just outside of Good Hope that he says is full of them. I'm ready to hear those beagles sing a tune !!!!!!!

I actually prefer them stewed myself.
Rabbit hunting is a blast, if you have dogs.
But I gotta tell y'all, I thought the deer in IL were huge compared to ours in GA, but man, some of their bunnies were the size of dogs. You could fill a pot up with 2 or 3 of their wabbits!!!

I like them fried and on the barbee. BBQ rabbit is good.
Well we only killed two but we had some good races. The swamp that we hunted is so thick that it was hard to cut them off and get a shot. Poor dogs had nearly ran theirselves to death. Alot of folks like to run buck rabbits but I'd rather hunted the high ground and killed some cottontails.
