I'm a GA resident and next weekend I'll be taking my oldest son on our first weekend father and son fishing trip. We've settled on Charleston this time but I'm not familiar with the area. I've been there a few times on vacations but this time I'll be looking for a different kind of visit.
I'm thinking I'll probably want to launch near Folley Beach or Isle of Palms then run the waterway or across the harbor and up the river to try and find redfish action.
Can anyone recommend a safe, clean hotel that's not too expensive? Preferably one with its own boat launch or a boat launch nearby? What about bait shops? Any help would be much appreciated!
