Default Can Fiberglass Backing on Longbow Be Recovered?

I have a really nice longbow that the backing is starting to separate from the wood right at the hand rest and arrow rest on the upper limb.

Is it possible to mend this, or is the backing a gonner?

I'll post picks of it when I get home.

How is fiberglass mounted to the wood anyway?

Can I take some heat to it?

contact Big Jim at Big Jims bow company. He builds custom bows and could give you the information you are looking for quickly.
