Chief Big Taw
you should note that all but one of those states are from one particular region in the country. there is a reason(s) for that.

Here's a recent news article with updated details at the web link below:

Where B&C Bucks Are Coming From

Hunters registered more Boone and Crockett Club whitetails during the past 10 years than in any decade before. Some of the hotspots will surprise you.

current trophy buck information!

Does anyone have current trophy buck information? If so, please post for all to see. I'd like to know what the top 50 counties are that produce trophy bucks in the last 10-15 years!

I had been told repeatedly recently that Wisconsin was the place to be.
And the map kinda reflects that..
Where does Iowa show to be #1?

IL in the last 5yrs alone has had a bunch of Boone&Crockett entries. I'm almost for certain that it is the now #1 state for most entries for typical and nontypical.

The most popular county that I know of for most of these entries is Pike Country, IL. Then there are 2 other counties that adjoin it I think that produce a bunch as well.

Still though...with the exception of Texas, GA looks to be a little better southern state to hunt in. Could be better for sure though.

To better classify, the title of the thread said Boone & Crockett. If you total the Pope and Young combined then IL would not be on top. There are a lot of bowhunters in WI.

Don't know the date of this but I dug this up.

Appreciate you posting the good web link. Since it's talking about the 2008 Turkey Season on the web page, it may only be from a couple years ago which may be statistics & numbers from 2007, but newer than most similar reports which are hard to find. Takes lots of time, work, research, & efforts to put together reports like that.

I'll post the graphics details you found below.

Thanks again for finding more good info.

:D
