Perfect size is roughly6x12 individual pens with a runner pen in front. If I ever build new ones, it'll be 6-8 pens that size with a front runner.

I would recommend going to a local fence company and asking them if they would build you a custom pen out of 1 3/8" x sch 20 pipe and 9ga. fabric. I have built several and it cost a little more, but will outlast the prebuilt kennels by a long shot. The heavier wire will keep most dogs from tearing out. You can also get them to extend the kennel uprights and build a frame out of the pipe to screw your metal on to make a roof. I could take some pics of mine to give you some ideas, if you need me to.

I'm getting ready to do my new ones here soon...currently I have a 10x30 wooden deck with kennels on top and a few pieces of tin on each kennel.

I'm about to build some closer to the house was thinking of doing a 10x30 concret pad....I'm going to make it similar to a shed style, tin down the back and sides and bring down a 2' lip of tin on the front that will touch the top of the kennels (one of my dogs can climb out).

I was going to rip a piece of 6" PVC in half and run down the back side and bury a 55 gallon drum with gravel for a mini septic.

Thanks, I designed and built it myself, everything except the outside runs, they were purchased. It took almost 1 year of weekends start to finish. Being able to do all the work myself and having $0.00 in labor costs was the only way I was able to do something like this.
