When does the application process start for the deer-dog hunt this year? Anybody know?

whats the deal with that hunt? do you have to have dogs or team with someone who does, or do they take standers too?

No all you have to do is get drawn and go fall in with some of the others who have dogs. We had a couple fellas hunt with us last year, since we only had four trucks in our group the extra help was appreciated.

Im not seeing any deer dog hunts available this year. Anyone know whats going on?

I don't think the quota application for the dog hunt will be open until the regulations are available , but i am just guessing

You don't have to wait til then , I am certain you can go ride with some folks at some of these hunting clubs around,if not you can come hunt with me, I can't promise a kill or even a good race but if you want to try it, guest fee and your food is all you need, just come on

I'm no stranger to running dogs. dad and i ran dogs together until i turned 18 and joined the service. Just been a while since Ive heard a good race. Theres nothing like hearing them coming and the anticipation of seeing him/her bust across the road
